Ancient + Brave, a Lewes-based wellness brand, is hiring an in-house Video Editor to cut short-form content for paid social. You will join a small, high-performing team and work from briefs set by the Performance Creative Strategist and Art Director to deliver pacey, on-brand assets.

You’ll manage multiple cuts, edit for Meta and TikTok formats, and evolve footage with AI tools while preserving the human touch our audience loves. This is a 2-3 month FTC based in our Lewes office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shooting and editing short-form video for paid social at volume.
• Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite and After Effects; comfortable with AI tools.
• Understanding of what makes video perform on Meta and TikTok: hook, retention, captions, sound.
• Experience turning source material into many assets.

Responsabilités

• Edit short-form video for paid social: hooks, pacing, captions, sound design, colour, versioning.
• Build multiple distinct cuts from the same source material for different angles/audiences.
• Recut and refresh live assets based on performance data with iterative changes.
• Deliver to spec across placements and formats while staying high quality and on brand.
• Watch footage from creators, shoots, and archives to identify the best pieces for briefs.
• Collaborate with the Performance Creative Strategist and Art Director to align with briefs and opportunities.
• Use AI thoughtfully for versioning, subtitling, rough assembly without losing human touch.
• Maintain an organized library with clear filing so footage is never lost.
