Job summary

Criterion Capital is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its in-house contracting team in the United Kingdom. You will manage financial and contractual aspects of diverse development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience, a bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or related field, and strong skills in budgeting, cost control and contract negotiation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying or related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in-house contracting or development business.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with proven cost management of large developments.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, manage, and monitor project budgets.
• Conduct cost analysis and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and evaluate tenders, bills of quantities, and contracts.
• Source and procure materials and subcontractors.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts.
• Manage project expenditures and cost reporting.
• Administer contract terms and resolve issues.
• Manage variations and changes to project scope.
• Prepare interim and final payments to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Identify risks related to cost and contract management and mitigate them.
