Job summary

Stirling Council is seeking a skilled painter and decorator to join our in-house trades team in Stirling. The role covers repairs and maintenance across housing, including void properties, refurbishment, and adaptations. A full driving licence is essential, and you may be required to participate in an out of hours/standby service.

The position is a 35-hour week based at Allan Water House with hybrid working where the role allows. Benefits include generous annual leave, pension, and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating across housing projects.
• Proficient in wallpaper hanging and surface preparation.
• Ability to finish both internal and external surfaces to a high standard.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating on our housing portfolio, including void properties and refurbishment projects.
• Prepare surfaces and apply finishes to internal and external surfaces.
• Hang wallpaper and ensure quality workmanship.
• Support responsive repairs and participate in out of hours standby if required.
