In House Legal Counsel - International Organisation - Tech/Telco

Our client is seeking a lawyer or contracts specialist responsible for managing customer, vendor, and business partner contracts. The role reports to a Senior stakeholder and the General Counsel.

This organisation is expanding globally through acquisitions and growth.

The successful candidate must work effectively with colleagues and clients worldwide, in a borderless role that involves regular interaction with international teams.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced lawyer or commercial contracts specialist aiming to advance their career in the software, telecom, media, or IT industries.

The role is primarily remote, with occasional attendance at meetings in various locations both locally and internationally.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in drafting, negotiating, and implementing commercial contracts.
• UK-qualified lawyer with 6+ years of PQE or equivalent experience.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Extensive experience advising on and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Experience with international contracts and contracts governed by foreign laws and jurisdictions.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly with high-value contracts.
• Experience working within or alongside software or IT companies is essential.
• Experience with software licensing, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS contracts.
• Ability to produce and present reports to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of global data protection laws, including EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with shifting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Confident communicator capable of engaging with senior decision-makers.
• Collaborative team player with effective interpersonal skills.
• Resourceful, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings or international offices.
• Innovative thinker with the confidence to challenge and provide constructive feedback.
