Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is working with an established housebuilder seeking an experienced Groundworks Quantity Surveyor to join their in-house commercial team.

You will manage groundworks, infrastructure and external works across residential developments, including procurement, tender reviews, cost plans and final accounts.

This role offers collaboration with Construction, Technical, Development and Procurement teams and potential progression within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience within residential groundworks/infrastructure
• Experience managing subcontract packages from tender through to final account
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge

Responsibilities

• Managing groundworks and infrastructure packages from procurement through to final account
• Preparing and reviewing subcontract enquiries and tender returns
• Negotiating subcontract packages and securing competitive costs
• Producing cost plans, budgets and forecasts
• Reviewing valuations, variations and payment applications
• Managing subcontractor accounts and final accounts
• Monitoring costs against budget and identifying commercial risks
• Collaborating with Construction, Technical, Development and Procurement teams
• Assisting with value engineering and identifying opportunities to improve project performance
