Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor for busy Groundworks and Civil Engineering projects in Banbury. You will join the Quantity Surveying Team to manage commercial elements, control costs and support contract obligations while travelling to UK sites.

The role offers a competitive starting salary up to £30,000, with development opportunities and exposure to major housebuilder projects. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with a Quantity Surveying degree.
• Competent IT skills in Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen.
• Methodical thinker with strong analytical skills.
• Able to work under pressure, in a team or alone.
• Willing to travel to sites across the UK with a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Quantity Surveying Team to manage all commercial elements during the project lifecycle.
• Minimise costs and enhance value for money.
• Ensure standards and quality per contract and client expectations.
• Identify and address contractual and commercial risks and opportunities.
• Cost planning and contract engagement.
• Source materials based on cost and quality.
• Attend progress meetings and respond to commercial matters.
• Liaise with site team, supply chain and Client's representatives.
• Support the project manager in fulfilling all contractual obligations.
