Our client owns and operates one of the largest pieces of infrastructure in the UK, which is integral to trade and transport within the British Isles.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, efficient, and commercially focused legal advice across various matters, including dispute resolution, public law, statutory enforcement, and compliance/regulatory work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Handle general litigation work, including property, landlord and tenant, and commercial disputes.
2. Advise on and manage judicial review and dispute resolution proceedings, including advocacy, arbitrations, and mediations where applicable.
3. Provide advice on data protection legislation and best practices.
4. Assist with information law, including responses to Environmental Information Requests.
5. Address governance matters and statutory instruments.
6. Understand and advise on the regulatory framework and byelaws applicable to the organization.

The Successful Applicant

The candidate should be a solicitor qualified in England & Wales with at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Dispute resolution legal team
• Public law legal team
• In-house legal team with a focus on contentious matters
