The legal department is looking for a talented and driven in-house contracts manager who wants to develop their commercial law experience in-house with a UK-based business.
Your new role
You will join a small commercial team, working closely with the senior management. Your duties will include taking ownership of the contract management system, liaising with external lawyers, advising the leadership team on improvements around contract management, and ensuring renewals and terminations are handled efficiently. You will also be involved in basic drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, conducting legal research, and working closely with the business on legal projects and providing advice.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have a strong understanding of contract law with a good legal background, either from previous paralegal/legal assistant experience or from your law degree / LPC / GDL studies. You will have excellent academic credentials and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the business. This position could suit a future trainee solicitor with commercial paralegal experience, SQE students, or recent qualifiers, looking to develop their commercial law and contracts experience in-house.
