Job summary

Supply Staff Limited in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced Tutor to deliver face-to-face tuition in students' homes, focusing on core subjects and SEN support to help learners build confidence and achieve progress.

You will travel to students' homes for in-person sessions, adapt lessons to individual needs, and track progress with feedback. A minimum of 10 hours per week is expected, with hours largely during school terms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' tutoring or teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of core curriculum subjects.
• Experience supporting students with SEN and working with EHCPs is essential.
• Comfortable working face-to-face in students' homes.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport preferred.
• Flexible and reliable with availability during school hours.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition in core subjects (English, Maths, and Science)
• Adapt lessons to suit individual learning needs and abilities
• Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Work with students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Build positive relationships with students and families
• Track progress and provide feedback where required
• Travel to students' homes for in-person sessions
