Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in Tain is seeking a compassionate Support Practitioner to assist individuals living with disabilities and/or additional support needs in daily life, including personal care, meal preparation and managing finances.

No prior care experience is required as we recruit on values; full training is provided including a funded SVQ, and we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

• Have an empathetic and caring nature.
• Good observation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in using computers.
• Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• As Support Practitioner, assist individuals living with disabilities and/or additional support needs in all aspects of daily life, including support with medication and finances, housework, meal preparation, cooking and personal care.
• The people supported have a variety of hobbies; participate and engage in activities such as going out for meals, cinema, gym or group activities.
