Job summary

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland in Cumbernauld is seeking compassionate Support Practitioners to join their team. No prior care experience is required as training and a fully funded SVQ will be provided on joining our supportive, values-driven service.

You will assist individuals living in their own homes with disabilities, helping with daily tasks, medication, finances, meals, personal care and more, while being mindful of moving and handling needs with full training supplied.

Qualifications

• Empathetic and caring nature.
• Good observation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in using computers.
• Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own.
• Good organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in daily living tasks, including medications and finances.
• Support with housework, meal preparation and personal care.
• Assistance with moving and handling as needed (training provided).
• Engage in activities aligned to residents' hobbies and interests.
• Work as part of a team or individually as required.
