Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Nanny and Child Development Specialist for a busy family in Randburg, Gauteng, ZA. The role focuses on in-home care and advancing children's educational growth, with responsibilities including daily routines, planning activities, and monitoring development.

Candidates should have proven nanny/early childhood experience, strong communication, patience, a valid driver's license, First Aid/CPR, and be willing to background checks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Nanny, Childminder, or Early Childhood Educator.
• Strong background in child development principles and educational strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to create engaging and educational activities.
• Patience, reliability, responsibility, and a genuine love for children.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and provide excellent references.
• Familiarity with Randburg area is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and loving care for children, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, including outings and indoor play.
• Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, feeding, hygiene, and nap times.
• Monitor children's development, track progress, and communicate observations to parents regularly.
• Create a stimulating and nurturing environment that encourages learning, creativity, and independence.
• Maintain a tidy and organized living space for the children.
• Manage children's schedules, including appointments and extracurricular activities.
