About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-time Nanny / Child Development Assistant to provide exceptional care and support for their young children in Randburg, Gauteng. This role extends beyond basic childcare; the successful candidate will actively contribute to the children's developmental milestones by planning and facilitating engaging educational activities. You will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that encourages curiosity, learning, and positive social interaction. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of child psychology, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood development. While primarily an on-site role, some flexibility for remote administrative tasks, such as report writing or activity planning, may be required. We are looking for a long-term commitment from a reliable and trustworthy individual who can become a valued part of the family's support system.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive daily care for children, including feeding, dressing, bathing, and ensuring their safety.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities, games, arts, and crafts to support cognitive and creative development.
• Engage children in physical activities and outdoor play.
• Prepare healthy and balanced meals and snacks.
• Maintain a tidy and organized environment for the children.
• Monitor children's progress and behavior, communicating regularly with parents.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a Nanny, Childminder, or in a similar childcare role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate learning strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and parents.
• Proven ability to plan and organize engaging activities.
• First Aid and CPR certification are essential.
• Reliable, punctual, and highly responsible.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good understanding of child nutrition and safety protocols.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and provide excellent references.
