Asda is seeking an Import Planning Analyst to enhance import cargo management. This role requires collaboration with various teams to optimize inventory and enhance forecast accuracy, along with developing reports in Excel. Join us for a dynamic work environment and an excellent benefits package.

The role of an Import Planning Analyst within Asda Logistics Services (ALS) involves working closely with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure we accurately plan all our General Merchandise import cargo into the Network ensuring all areas are fully in stock and ensuring key events launch successfully.
Engaging with supply and central teams to understand retail activity plans including seasonal forecasting
Engaging with Depots and National planning to forecast inbound and outbound volumes
Liaising with hauliers, 3rd party shipping lines and freight forwarders
Data analysis using daily reporting ensuring forecast accuracy
Import container planning and decision making
Stock Management Planning
Responsible for weekly detention and demurrage reporting, liaising with finance and supply teams
Developing and maintaining new and existing reports in Excel
Be flexible and adaptable to allow you to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Have experience in data analysis and advanced excel skills are essential
An ability to think strategically.
