Job Title – Import Customs Entry Clerk

Department/Sector – Customs

Job Location – Liverpool

Salary – £18k

One of our largest logistic clients has the great opportunity for an Import Customs Entry Clerk to join their team. They have offices grouped in 5 regions including Europe, Africa and the Middle East, working with management suppliers for the operation and interconnections of ocean and air freight platforms. Our hugely successful client has invested in a wealth of training available to employees to encourage professional development within the company.

As Import Customs Entry Clerk, you will complete the customs and associated documents in a timely manner to ensure the smooth movement of consignments through the port environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Printing of shipping documents and creating job files
  • Obtain UCN for cargo from inventory systems
  • Issuing of unique consignment reference numbers for duty management shipments
  • Creating Simplified Frontier Declaration (SFD) or Full Customs Entry
  • Check pending clearances are being processed
  • Create export entries
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and background of freight and customs industry desirable
  • An understanding of customs formalities
  • Good computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Port CSP Software
  • 2 years customs entry experience
  • Impatex or similar experience
  • 5 GCSE’s
