Prestige Recruitment Specialists are seeking a Customs Broker (Import) for a client in Stallingborough. The role focuses on preparing import declarations and transit documentation, ensuring entries pass through port systems ahead of UK arrivals, and liaising with HMRC and Port Health to facilitate smooth clearance.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in customs, familiarity with CDS/Destin8/NCTS/Descartes, and strong IT and data-entry skills.

Formación

• Previous customs experience, ideally 1+ year.
• Experience preparing import/export declarations and transit documentation.
• Good understanding of UK customs procedures.
• Familiarity with CDS, Destin8, NCTS and Descartes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of Returned Goods Relief, Inward Processing Relief, ATA Carnets and licences is beneficial.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent data entry and attention to detail.
• Good communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and submit import CDS declarations and transit documentation.
• Ensure customs entries are accurately completed and processed ahead of goods arriving.
• Use customs systems to manage declarations and support clearance of goods.
• Liaise with customs authorities and agencies to facilitate clearance.
• Assist customers with queries on customs procedures and import requirements.
• Ensure documentation and data entries comply with applicable legislation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain efficient, customer-focused service.
