Job summary

Consult seeks an experienced Implementation Consultant to lead BlackLine SaaS deployments remotely for UK-based clients. You will configure modules, integrate with SAP ECC/S/4HANA, and drive finance transformation initiatives.

You will gather requirements, design solutions, map data, and coordinate testing across Finance, IT, and Accounting teams while managing stakeholders and ensuring successful go-lives and post-implementation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Rlevant SAP Finance, BlackLine implementation, or financial systems experience, depending on seniority.
• Hands-on experience with BlackLine SaaS configuration and implementation is highly desirable.
• Experience integrating BlackLine with SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong understanding of accounting, financial close, reconciliation, and internal controls.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Implementation and configuration: Implement and configure BlackLine SaaS modules based on business requirements and financial close processes.
• SAP integration: Integrate BlackLine with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including SAP FI/CO data, general ledger balances, open items, company codes, and chart of accounts.
• Requirements gathering: Conduct workshops with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders; prepare business requirement documents, functional specifications, and solution designs.
• Account Reconciliation: Configure reconciliation profiles, account assignments, templates, approval workflows, and reconciliation rules.
• Transaction Matching: Configure matching rules, data sources, tolerances, exception handling, and automated transaction matching.
• Journal Entry: Support journal preparation, approval workflows, posting processes, and reconciliation of posted entries with SAP.
• Financial Close Management: Configure close task lists, dependencies, due dates, status tracking, and workflow notifications.
• Data migration: Perform data mapping, master data validation, historical balance loads, and reconciliation of source and target data.
• Integration development: Coordinate SAP connectors, APIs, web services, middleware, and file-based interfaces to transfer financial data securely.
• Testing: Prepare test scenarios and execute unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
• Deployment: Support cutover planning, production deployment, go-live activities, and hypercare.
• Support and optimization: Troubleshoot integration and configuration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve financial close efficiency.
• Documentation and training: Prepare configuration documents, process flows, user guides, and conduct end-user training.
