Job summary

Teaching Personnel is urgently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist education setting in Yeovil from September 2026. You will support pupils with SEND and help them build confidence, independence and a love of learning, working closely with teachers to create an inclusive classroom.

This temporary, full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to develop SEND experience while making a real difference to young people’s lives in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH or additional needs.
• Experience in education, childcare or support-based roles.
• Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
• Ability to build strong relationships with pupils quickly.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Confident and flexible to hit the ground running.

• Provide essential classroom support with teachers and the education team.
