Job summary

Leigh Academy Bexley is seeking a driven Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated inclusion team. You will support students 1:1, in small groups, and within whole-class settings, helping pupils access education both academically and welfare-wise.

Experience with autism and a passion for making a difference are valued. Reporting to the SENDCO, you will contribute to a collaborative, supportive environment across mainstream and specialist provision.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering small-group interventions or working with young people with Autism in a specialist setting is a huge plus.
• Patience and empathy with students from diverse backgrounds; ability to adapt to varying needs.
• Willingness to collaborate with teachers, SENDCO and inclusion team to support learning and welfare.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group interventions to bridge gaps for learners.
• Support whole classes under the guidance of classroom teachers.
• Assist in safeguarding and welfare, ensuring inclusive education for all students.
