Job summary

Chiltern Way Academy Trust is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support students aged 8-16 with ASC, in a nurturing, forward-thinking environment. You will assist with learning activities, help individuals and small groups progress, and promote positive behaviour.

You’ll work with dedicated staff across specialist settings, build positive relationships, aid with planning and classroom organisation, and contribute to a safe, supportive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Patience and flexibility in supporting learners.
• Strong communication and teamwork with staff.
• Experience with children or young people is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering learning activities.
• Work with individuals and small groups to aid progression.
• Promote positive behavior, engagement and independence.
• Help create a calm, safe and supportive learning environment.
