Job summary

Randstad Education in the Bishop's Stortford area is seeking caring Teaching Assistants to support learners across primary and secondary settings. You will assist classroom teachers with lessons, help with small group work and intervene one-to-one to boost reading, writing and numeracy.

The roles offer flexibility with full-time, part-time or ad-hoc schedules in Bishop's Stortford and East Hertfordshire, with local schools, ongoing training, and weekly PAYE payments.

Qualifications

• Experience with children in schools, nurseries, sports coaching, or youth work.
• Patient, empathetic, and can-do approach to classroom support.
• Strong communication skills with English and Maths.
• Enhanced DBS Update Service or willingness to obtain a new check.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with daily lesson delivery, activity setup, and group management.
• Work 1:1 or in small interventions with pupils to boost reading, writing, and numeracy.
• Create an inclusive, encouraging learning environment for all students.
