Job summary

21 Health & Social Care are recruiting on behalf of Care Support Scotland for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join their Homelessness Services across Midlothian.

This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting individuals experiencing homelessness to achieve stability, independence and improved wellbeing. Shifts include day and night hours in Midlothian areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in social care or homelessness support is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work with diverse service users in a compassionate manner.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
• Help service users develop and sustain independent living skills.
• Assist with daily routines, budgeting, meals, and accommodation upkeep.
• Provide emotional support and build confidence and resilience.
• Support access to tenancy and housing services and liaise with landlords.
• Participate in meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.
