Job summary

Central Recruitment Services Ltd in the North East is recruiting experienced Support Workers to provide flexible agency cover across a range of supported accommodation and homelessness services for young people. You’ll play a vital role in helping individuals build confidence, develop independence, and work towards positive outcomes.

We offer a variety of shifts including early, late, waking night and sleep-in, with a pay rate of £15.08 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay).

Qualifications

• Experience supporting young people with multiple disadvantages (paid or voluntary; or via a university placement).
• Current valid right to work in the UK.
• Fully enhanced DBS registered on the DBS update service or willingness to apply for one through Central (cost £60).
• Employment or education history covering the last 5 years verifiable through references.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality, person-centred support to young people.
• Promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive life choices.
• Supporting individuals within a strengths-based and recovery-focused framework.
• Maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
• Safeguarding vulnerable young people and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Completing accurate records and handovers.
