Job summary

Educational Empowerment Group in Ohio seeks an Intervention Specialist to manage Special Education services, ensure compliance, and provide targeted intervention as needed.

You will collaborate with classroom teachers, develop IEP goals, coordinate with speech services, maintain files, and meet deadlines for ETRs and IEPs.

Strong communication, organizational skills, and an active Ohio license are required; urban education experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Mild to Moderate Intervention Specialist licensure in Ohio.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and community.
• Demonstrated successful teaching experience, preferably in urban education settings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure students with disabilities receive equal learning opportunities as non-disabled peers.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to meet IEP goals and provisions.
• Plan and deliver instruction in classrooms or intervention rooms, in small groups or 1-on-1.
• Maintain and update IEP/ETR documents and ensure signatures and deadlines are met.
• Develop behavioral plans and monitor progress for students with behavioral needs.
• Coordinate with Speech and Language services to ensure compliance of Speech-Only IEPs.
