Job summary

Randstad Education in Blackburn is seeking skilled SEN Teaching Assistants to support primary pupils with special educational needs from September 2026. You will deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support for children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or cognitive delays, under the guidance of teaching staff.

Ideal candidates hold Level 2/3 TA qualifications, are confident managing challenging behaviour, and can build positive relationships with children, families and SENCOs across diverse settings in

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with special educational needs.
• Confident in managing challenging behaviour and de-escalation.
• TA qualification Level 2/3 (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with children individually or in small groups to enhance learning and personal development.
• Provide 1:1 support for children with additional needs (Autism, ADHD, SEMH).
• Support class teacher with resources and activity setup.
• Monitor and report student progress to teachers and SEN team.
