Job summary

Remedy Recruitment Group is partnering with an ambitious SEN school in Essex to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for primary and secondary provision. You will deliver 1:1 and small group support, assisting pupils with a range of needs and contributing to a calm, structured classroom.

The role requires patience, resilience and the ability to support both communication and personal care where needed. You will collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to ensure the best

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ASD, ADHD or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Comfortable across both primary and secondary age groups.
• Confident supporting non-verbal or limited communication pupils.
• Willing to support personal care where needed.
• Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support across primary and secondary classes.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.
• Follow EHCP targets and individual support plans.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Help maintain a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
• Encourage independence, confidence and social development.
