Job summary

TimePlan Education is recruiting a Behaviour Mentor / SEMH Teaching Assistant in Milton Keynes. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday (8:15am - 4:30pm) with term-time only hours. Start date ASAP, supporting pupils with SEMH needs in a school environment.

You will work 1:1 and in small groups, implementing personalised behaviour plans, and liaising with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals. A resilient, patient team player with de-escalation skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
• Confident using de-escalation techniques and behaviour support strategies.
• Calm, patient and adaptable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-player mindset.
• Available to work full-time, Monday to Friday (8:15-4:30) during term time.

Responsibilities

• Support students on a 1:1 and small group basis.
• Implement behaviour strategies and personalised support plans.
• Help students engage with learning and achieve goals.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Provide consistency, encouragement and emotional support throughout the school day.
