Job summary

You will advise on safeguarding concerns, coordinate with internal teams and external agencies, and maintain confidential records to ensure appropriate support for students in need.

Qualifications

• Experience in safeguarding, student welfare, youth work or related field.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Strong record-keeping and communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple agencies and maintain confidentiality.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Respond to safeguarding concerns and welfare issues per policies and procedures.
• Support students with additional needs and complex circumstances.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations with calm, professional approach.
• Maintain accurate, confidential safeguarding records and documentation.
• Collaborate with staff, students, families and external agencies to coordinate support.
• Promote student welfare, safety and positive outcomes across the educational environment.
• Apply relevant safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance and Prevent duty requirements.
• Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all students.
• Promote equality, diversity and inclusion, ensuring students are treated fairly and respectfully.
