Job summary

Impact North West Schools Ltd seeks an Outreach Tutor to deliver personalised educational support outside the traditional classroom. You will work mainly one-on-one and in small groups to assist learners facing barriers, including SEND and SEMH, building confidence and bridging learning gaps.

Qualifications

  • QTS or equivalent credential preferred.
  • Proven experience teaching or tutoring young people with additional needs (SEND) or disengaged backgrounds.
  • Active Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for local travel.

Responsibilities

  • Tailored Learning: design and deliver tutoring programmes in English, Maths and Functional Skills.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with learners to overcome barriers and foster resilience.
  • Conduct initial assessments, track progress, and adapt learning plans accordingly.
  • Apply innovative, real‑world teaching methods to make learning accessible and relevant.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns promptly.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, carers, social workers, local authorities and partner agencies.
