Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an Outreach Tutor in the UK to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons that bridge gaps in pupils’ education and boost engagement. Many pupils may have been out of education, so you will help re-engage them and reintroduce structure into daily routines.

The role is contract-based with flexible hours and start ASAP, paying from 25.00 p/h. QTS or equivalent and UK classroom experience are required to ensure effective, personalised instruction.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent certification required.
• UK classroom teaching experience is essential.
• Creative and patient approach to individual tutoring.
• Experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps.

As an Outreach Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in pupil's education, and boost engagement and attainment levels. This opportunity is great for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, individual lessons.

Many of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, which can significantly impact their confidence. Your role is to help re-engage them in learning and help reintroduce structure into their daily routine.

Experience, Training and Qualifications of the 1:1 Outreach Tutor:

• QTS or equivalent
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience
• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

To be eligible for this role, the potential 1:1 Outreach Tutor must:

• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new applicationProvide two professional child-related references.
