Job summary

Class Actis is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for flexible short-term and long-term opportunities across Wallingford and surrounding areas. You will support children in early years environments, helping them learn through play and development in nurturing settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in nursery or early years settings.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with children.
• Creative, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptable across different routines, age groups and environments.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
• Willingness to undertake relevant early years training and development.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities aligned with EYFS.
• Assist with care, supervision and wellbeing of children aged 0–5.
• Help create safe, inclusive, and developmentally rich environments.
• Encourage social, emotional and physical development.
• Contribute to observations and learning records when required.
• Support children with personal care needs as appropriate.
• Work with early years staff during longer term placements.
