Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our National Nature Services Team. You will work with a multidisciplinary group, including biodiversity and geotechnical specialists, and contribute to bids, project planning, budgeting, and client communications.

You will help manage project programmes, support subcontractor administration, and participate in stakeholder engagement to deliver high-quality outcomes on landmark projects.

Qualifications

• Has an appropriate academic qualification in a related discipline.
• May be an ecologist (or work within another technical environmental discipline) who wishes to develop in an office-based project management and coordination direction.
• Is highly organised and be able to produce project programmes.
• Has good commercial awareness and an understanding of contract administration.
• Is solution-focussed and proactive communicator.

Responsibilities

• Overall resource planning – fortnightly comms with ecology PMs on key deadlines and survey resourcing and maintaining project programmes and managing project budgets.
• Contributing to bids and tenders for new work alongside the other Team Members.
• Annual checks and renewal of subconsultants; preparation of subconsultant contracts and raising Purchase Orders.
• Assist with and help facilitate Risk Assessments and Method Statements;
• Helping to nurture an enthusiastic, supportive, productive and fun working environment.
• Supporting on project communications with internal/external clients.
• Managing projects via Horizon including project reviews monthly, budget checks, amendments and uplifts, invoicing, scope creep and compensation events.
• Establishing and maintaining client relationships;
• Participating in external/internal stakeholder engagement for project delivery and business development;
• Reviewing client deliverables and quality management across all aspects of project delivery.
• Providing solutions to client business challenges and improving performance through analysis and planning;
• Facilitating implementation of business recommendations in strategic planning and change management.
