Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our National Nature Services team. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment with ecology and related specialists across the UK and Ireland, contributing to bids, resource planning and project delivery.

The role emphasizes organisation, proactive communication and managing project programmes, with opportunities to support on tenders and stakeholder engagement. A related discipline qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification in a related discipline.
• Ecologist background acceptable if transitioning to project management.
• Highly organised with ability to produce project programmes.
• Good commercial awareness and contract administration understanding.
• Solution-focused and proactive communicator.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall resource planning with ecology PMs and manage survey resourcing.
• Contribute to bids and tenders for new work.
• Annual checks and renewal of subconsultants; prepare subconsultant contracts and POs.
• Identify skills gaps and coordinate outsourcing or recruitment as needed.
• Assist with risk assessments and method statements.
• Support project communications with internal/external clients.
• Manage projects in Horizon including monthly reviews, budgets, invoicing, scope changes.
• Engage with stakeholders and client liaison to deliver projects.
