Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited in Harrogate is seeking a Refuse Driver to safely operate refuse collection vehicles and support waste and recycling collection across the local area. The role requires LGV/HGV driving, valid CPC and tachograph card, and a commitment to health and safety.

Working hours are 06:00 to 16:45, 40 hours per week, with a strong focus on customer service and reliable service delivery. Experience in waste services and ability to work as part of a team to meet demanding schedules

Qualifications

Valid HGV/LGV Driving Licence and Driver CPC required.
Digital Tachograph Card required.
Experience in waste collection or environmental services preferred.
Ability to work as part of a team and deliver high standards of service.

Responsibilities

Safely drive and operate refuse collection vehicles in line with road traffic laws and council procedures.
Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report defects promptly.
Undertake waste and recycling collection duties on designated routes.
Collaborate with crews to ensure efficient service delivery.
Maintain accurate records and vehicle documentation as required.
Adhere to health and safety, environmental and operational procedures.
Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with residents.
