Job summary

Harris Academy Rainham in London is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support individuals and groups of students in the SARP. This role involves assisting in the classroom and attending to students' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene and welfare matters.

The successful candidate will have degree-level qualifications, basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers, and experience working with young people in education.

Qualifications

• Qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Experience with young people in an education or training environment.
• Experience establishing positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Good ICT skills and MS Office knowledge.
• Ability to work using own initiative and exercise good judgement.
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and environments.
• Awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and groups of students in the classroom.
