Job summary

Barnsley Healthcare Federation is recruiting a Physician Associate for a fixed-term 12-month contract to work in a home visiting capacity within a multi-disciplinary team. The role requires a postgraduate PA qualification, PA National Exam, and registration with the RCP’s PA register, with two years of primary care experience welcomed.

Qualifications

• 2 years' post-qualification experience in primary care is essential.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Physician Associate studies and PA National Examination are required.
• Member of the Faculty of Physician Associates at the RCP and registration on the PA Managed Voluntary Register is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients via home visiting service.
• Work with GP mentors and multidisciplinary team to deliver care.
• Refer patients to other services using appropriate pathways.
• Carry out focused history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
