Job summary

St Peter & St James Hospice is seeking a part-time Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser in North Chailey to secure funding for core services and priority projects. You will research, write and submit high-quality grant applications while building a pipeline of opportunities and maintaining key funder relationships.

Collaborating with colleagues across the hospice, you’ll ensure timely reporting, compliance with fundraising standards, and a data-driven approach to maximise income for life-limiting

Qualifications

• Proven experience in trust and foundation fundraising within a charity environment.
• Exceptional written communication skills and ability to craft persuasive funding applications.
• Confident and adaptable communicator who can tailor proposals to funder priorities.
• Understanding of restricted and unrestricted funding, budgets and reporting requirements.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience using Raiser's Edge NXT or a similar CRM system.

Responsibilities

• Research, write and submit high-quality funding applications to trusts and foundations to secure income for core services and priority projects.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of funding opportunities.
• Collaborate with operational teams to gather information and develop compelling cases for support.
• Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective funders and demonstrate impact of support.
• Coordinate submission of monitoring and evaluation reports and meet funder requirements and deadlines.
• Monitor funding pledges, payments and income, reporting progress and risks to the Head of Fundraising.
