Job summary

Isabel Hospice is seeking an experienced Community Fundraiser to turn great relationships into meaningful support and sustainable income across eastern Hertfordshire.

You will build strong relationships with schools, communities and local businesses, inspiring involvement and developing opportunities to raise vital funds for hospice care. DBS checks may be required as part of safeguarding volunteers and supporters.

Qualifications

• Fundraising experience is essential and a successful track record of achieving fundraising targets and developing supporter relationships.
• Experience of meeting or exceeding fundraising or income targets.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple fundraising activities simultaneously.
• Good understanding of the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends; a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a community fundraising programme that achieves agreed income targets.
• Build, manage and grow relationships with community supporters, schools, local businesses, volunteers and community groups.
• Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities to increase income and supporter engagement.
• Provide excellent stewardship and support to maximise fundraising success and encourage long-term loyalty.
• Represent the hospice at community events, networking opportunities and presentations, promoting our work and inspiring others to support us.
• Ensure fundraising activities comply with the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice and relevant legislation.
