Job summary

Greenfields, part of the Caretech family, is recruiting a Deputy Manager for a children’s home in Abergavenny. The role focuses on providing an emotionally secure, nurturing environment and supporting the registered manager to develop young people’s social, physical, emotional and moral potential.

You will lead a small team to maintain high standards, ensure safeguarding and advocate for the young people’s voices in daily care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience working within children’s residential
• QCF Level 3 Children & Young People qualification or equivalent
• Level 5 - Leadership & Management (preferred not essential)
• Driver (company provide a car / mini bus during working hours)
• Shift pattern 2 on 3 off ( x2 full days including sleeps)
• Previous experience as a deputy manager, senior or team leader in a children’s residential setting
• Excellentcommunicationskillswithinternalandexternalagencies andthecapacitytoworkautonomously.

Responsibilities

• Assist the registered manager to lead a stable and motivated team to deliver high and consistent standards of care and support for our young people
• Ensure safeguarding of the children and young people and advocate for their voice to shine through everything we do
• Balance hands-on practical care with proactive leadership while driving positive outcomes for service users
