Job summary

Spectrum Care in West Auckland is seeking a Community Support Worker for our Aspirations programme. You will support people with disabilities to build skills, confidence, independence, and meaningful connections in their communities.

Responsibilities include helping people discover strengths, creating engaging experiences, and building relationships with whānau and community partners. Part-time shifts include days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bring great energy, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
• Enjoy connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Are creative, resourceful, and comfortable thinking outside the box.
• Hold a full driver's licence and are comfortable driving programme vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Help people discover strengths, develop new skills, and grow independence.
• Create engaging experiences through music, arts, sport, media, vocational learning, technology, and community projects.
• Support people to access volunteering and employment pathways.
• Build genuine relationships with people, whānau, colleagues, and community partners.
• Design exciting programmes and think creatively when plans change.
