Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited is supporting Milton Keynes Council in recruiting a qualified Children\'s Social Worker to join a supportive team. You will manage a varied caseload of children and families, carry out assessments, develop care plans and work with partner agencies to safeguard welfare.

You will collaborate with education, health and police, contribute to child protection processes and court proceedings where required, and maintain accurate records and professional reports to support

Qualifications

• recognised Social Work qualification and current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience of working with children, young people and families in a statutory or relevant social care setting.
• Sound understanding of safeguarding, assessment frameworks and relevant legislation.
• Ability to travel within the local area and hold a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments, identifying risk and need, developing and reviewing care plans, and coordinating effective support with families and partner agencies.
• Work collaboratively with education, health, police and other professionals to safeguard children and promote welfare.
• Contribute to child protection processes, children looked after reviews, permanence planning and court proceedings where required.
• Maintain accurate, timely records and produce clear, professional reports to support sound decision-making.
