Nottinghamshire County Council is seeking a qualified Social Worker to assess needs, safeguard children, and promote positive outcomes for families. You will undertake direct work with children and carers, conduct statutory visits, and prepare professional reports and court documentation.

The role requires current Social Work England registration and experience in safeguarding, with a strong emphasis on child-centred, strengths‑based practice and inter‑agency collaboration.

Formación

• Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, DipSW or equivalent).
• Current registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in statutory safeguards and working with children and families.

Responsabilidades

• Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying needs, strengths, vulnerabilities and potential safeguarding risks.
• Complete direct work with children and young people to understand their wishes and experiences.
• Undertake statutory visits and maintain regular contact with children and families.
• Develop, implement, monitor and review care plans to safeguard children.
• Manage a varied caseload and meet deadlines within statutory timescales.
• Prepare high‑quality assessments, case recordings and court documentation.
