Job summary

Nottingham Community Housing Association Ltd is seeking a Bid Writer to shape services that change lives. You will write tenders, assess opportunities, and help secure grants and commissioned services while supporting service development for sustainable futures.

Working with the Business Development Manager, you’ll identify opportunities, coordinate submissions, and produce compelling method statements. This hybrid role offers Clifton office days with flexible home-working.

Qualifications

• Experience of researching, writing or supporting tender and bid submissions or management experience within a social care setting.
• Experience or knowledge of housing, social care, public sector commissioning, business development or similar environments
• A strong understanding of services that support vulnerable adults and sustainable communities
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to produce high-quality documents
• Strong numeracy, IT and analytical skills
• The ability to organise information, manage deadlines and balance competing priorities
• Confidence building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

• Identify, research and track new business, commissioning and funding opportunities
• Analyse market intelligence, service performance data and financial information
• Help shape delivery models and budgets for new opportunities
• Coordinate and write high-quality tenders, grant applications and bid submissions
• Prepare compelling method statements and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, submissions and outcomes
• Work collaboratively with operational colleagues and subject matter experts across the organisation
• Represent NCHA at internal and external meetings and forums, promoting our reputation as a high-quality provider
