Job summary

Tradewind Education Agency in Bristol is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a fantastic primary school. This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, starting ASAP.

You will support students with challenging behaviour, build positive relationships, and work with teachers to implement behaviour plans. Experience with SEN is desirable; you will be part of a supportive team with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Experience dealing with challenging behaviour in a school setting.
• Resilience and a good-humoured nature.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students.
• Availability for full-time, Mon–Fri, 8:30–3:30.
• Qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised support to students displaying challenging behaviour.
• Implement behaviour management strategies with positive reinforcement.
• Build strong relationships with students based on trust and respect.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
• Handle challenging situations and use de-escalation techniques when necessary.
