Job summary

Northumberland County Council is seeking experienced Social Workers for the Adults Care and Support service in Morpeth. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, manage your own caseload, and work under supervision within the Care and Support team.

Strong knowledge of the Care Act and Local Authority duties is essential, with opportunities for professional development and accredited training.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work & registered with Social Work England.
• Successfully completed the UK Skills for Care ASYE programme.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence and be able to use a car for work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage your own caseload with supervision.
• Receive regular supervision and guidance from Advanced Social Work Practitioners and the Team Manager.
• Apply the Care Act and Local Authority statutory duties in all duties.
