Job summary

Tina Lacey Recruitment Ltd seeks an Adult & Community Learning Skills Coach to deliver and assess short and longer community-based learning programmes across South Yorkshire, including Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley.

The role covers programmes funded by the SYMCA Adult Skills Fund, with delivery in community venues and durations from 15 days to 20 weeks; you will support adults 19+ who may face barriers such as mental health challenges or autism.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering adult or community-based learning.
• Knowledge of Adult Skills Fund (ASF) / AEB funding.
• Understanding of Ofsted expectations for adult learning.
• Experience working with learners with complex barriers, including autism and mental health needs.
• Confident using ePortfolio systems and digital tools.
• Strong communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and learner wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess community-based adult learning programmes.
• Support adults aged 19+ with barriers to learning.
• Deliver modules such as Autism Awareness and Mental Health.
• Deliver programmes across community venues with durations from 15 days to 20 weeks.
