Job summary

Connex Education are looking for a dedicated SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil in Wirral from September. This full-time role is 8:30am–3:30pm, with a temp-to-perm pathway.

You will support a pupil with Autism and Global Development Delay, help manage behaviour, assist with personal care where required and collaborate with the school team to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with complex needs in a school or care setting.
• Ability to manage behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
• Willing to assist with personal care when needed.
• Able to work well in a team and adapt to each pupil's communication style.
• DBS check or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with Autism and Global Development Delay in Wirral.
• Support learning activities and assist with personal care as needed while maintaining a safe, engaging environment.
