Job summary

Philosophy Consulting is seeking an energetic Data Analyst and Sustainability Consultant to join our growing team. You will work on hands-on client delivery, data processing, and shaping our environmental and reporting offerings. The role welcomes career changers and supports flexible hours for strong performers.

We value practical experience in ESG data, carbon accounting, and stakeholder engagement, with opportunities to influence strategy and client impact across UK projects.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis skills using Excel or other tools.
• Around two years’ experience in sustainability, either in consultancy, an in-house ESG role, or a comparable setting where you have done similar work.
• Awareness or understanding of ESG reporting frameworks (GRI, TCFD, CDP, CSRD).
• Experience with carbon accounting tools.
• Project management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Clear written and spoken communication, including explaining technical detail to non-specialists.
• Familiarity or experience with B Corp Certification and impact reporting.
• Knowledge of EcoVadis, ISO 14001, and CDP submission processes; broad sustainability expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support on client projects from proposal to delivery.
• Collect and analyse ESG data and translate findings into strategy.
• Collaborate with clients across sectors to embed sustainability into core business operations.
• Help to prepare sustainability reports, carbon disclosures, or impact assessments.
• Share what you learn with colleagues and help the team develop as we grow.
