Job summary

Trial Balance is recruiting a Charity Finance Manager for its Bideford office. The role is initially part-time (2–3 days per week) with hybrid working and a £35,000 FTE salary.

You will own day-to-day finances, produce management accounts, budgeting and year-end preparation, and support the leadership team. Working with the Director and Treasurer, you’ll manage restricted and unrestricted funds, ensure donor and grant compliance, and help develop robust financial processes for a

Qualifications

• Hands-on charity finance experience and governance
• Experience in budgeting, management accounts and year-end
• Knowledge of donor funds and restricted/unrestricted funds

Responsibilities

• Running the day-to-day finance function, including income, expenditure, payroll and bank reconciliations
• Producing monthly management accounts and supporting budgeting and forecasting
• Managing restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring donor and grant conditions
• Supporting statutory reporting, Gift Aid and year-end accounts
• Acting as the go-to person for finance queries across the organisation
• Helping to develop and improve financial processes as the role becomes established
