Job summary

NHS Scotland invites applications for an Associate Practitioner (Immunology) based in Dundee. This 8-month fixed term/secondment offers hands-on training in the Immunology specialist department of Blood Sciences within a large teaching hospital.

You will hold a HND/HNC in Healthcare Science or an undergraduate degree in a related subject, join a team that values initiative and flexibility, and may pursue registration as a Biomedical Scientist with support from staff.

Qualifications

• HND/HNC in Healthcare Science or undergraduate degree in a related Biological science.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory environment is desirable but not required for immunology.
• Demonstrates team spirit, initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm to train further.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Immunology laboratory duties within Blood Sciences.
• Work in a clinical laboratory setting as part of NHS Tayside Immunology team.
• Participate in training towards registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
